Thomaston’s Main Street will once again transform into a showcase of classic cars this fall as the Thomaston Police Explorers host the 34th Annual Summer Cruise on Sunday, September 14. The event will run from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with vehicle entries closing at 3:00 p.m.
The show focuses on vehicles manufactured before 1985, with dash plaques available for the first 300 cars registered. Trophies will also be awarded. A DJ provided by Powerstation Events will keep music playing throughout the afternoon.
In addition to the cars, local nonprofit organizations will be serving food along Main Street. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Thomaston Police Explorers. The police explorer program gives young men and women ages 14 through 20 firsthand exposure to law enforcement, while emphasizing self-discipline and community service.
Organizers of the car show note that blades, pets, bikes, skateboards, alcohol, and burnouts are not permitted. For more information, contact the Thomaston Police Department at 860-283-4343.
