The Thomaston Fire Department will host the first of its breakfasts on Sunday, September 14, from 7:00 to 10:30 a.m. at their headquarters at 245 South Main Street.
The breakfasts are held on the second Sunday of each month, running from September through May, and feature a full meal prepared by our volunteer firefighters. The menu includes eggs to order, sausage, bacon, home fries, french toast, pancakes, coffee, and juice.
Admission is $10 for adults and children over three, $8 for seniors, and free for children under three.
While the department’s operating expenses for firefighting and emergency response are funded by the town budget, fundraising events like the breakfast series cover other necessary costs, including station furniture, uniforms, scholarships, and community outreach.
The Fire Department has about 45 active members and responds to roughly 300 calls each year.
