Our Savior Lutheran Church has announced that it has permanently closed. The church shared the news on November 18th through social media, and its website now reflects the same message. The church held a Celebration of Years service in October, a gathering that acknowledged its 32 years of worship and community life as the congregation prepared for closure.
According to their website, the church welcomed people from all backgrounds and encouraged participation from historically marginalized groups in its ministry.
Public records indicate that the property was first listed for sale in July. The site includes approximately 8,580 square feet of space on two floors, sits on roughly .81 acres, and is zoned for religious or commercial use. The listing price is $795,000. Marketing materials highlight on site parking and note that the building’s layout may be suitable for religious, educational, office, or retail uses.
Clocktown Chronicle reached out to church leadership in August, but did not receive a response.
Residents can visit the Chronicle’s Places of Worship page for general information about houses of worship in Thomaston.
