Mona Lisa Ristorante Closes After 19 Years

Mona Lisa Ristorante has announced that it is closed after nearly two decades in Thomaston.

The restaurant shared the news in a message posted to social media Wednesday. The restaurant opened in 2007 and became a familiar presence in town, serving as a gathering place for family dinners, celebrations, and everyday meals for many residents.

In its message, the restaurant thanked the community for its support over the years and reflected on the relationships built with customers, including families who had been visiting since the early days.

Mona Lisa Ristorante has also been well known locally for its efforts to support the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when schools were closed, the restaurant provided free weekday lunches to students through its curbside pickup and delivery service. Meals were offered without eligibility requirements, and additional snack packs were distributed to children.

The restaurant remained a consistent presence in the Thomaston community and will surely be missed.
